Shipping Times
Most orders are shipped from our California warehouse 7 business days after purchase. This increased turnaround time is due to very high demand, COVID-related supply chain issues, increased supplier shipping times, and many books being reprinted or out of stock. Some orders may take longer or include backordered items. We truly thank you for your patience and understanding during our busiest season.
Order Tracking
As soon as orders are packed and shipped an email with tracking information is automatically sent. If you have not received a tracking email your order has not yet been shipped.
Backorders
With the increased demand for printed books and homeschool products, many publishers are having to reprint books that are included in our studies as required reading. These items will be noted on your packing slip with a "BO" or a dash. We will automatically ship these items to you when they are back in stock. At this time we can not give specific updates on expected arrival of these titles. Rest assured, as soon as we receive stock your backorders will be shipped.
D’Aulaire Sale Orders
For orders that include Leif the Lucky and Columbus we will be backordering these titles as demand far exceeded our projections. Both books are being reprinted and will be back in stock the last week of September. When the books arrive we will immediately ship backorders and send tracking emails. We apologize for this delay and thank you for your patience.
The Discovery of the Americas
This title was recently added as a required book in our new Early American Primary as well as our new Around California study. The publisher is out of stock and has set a reprint date in October. Despite multiple inquiries for a special print run or other arrangement they have not responded. Because of this we have uploaded read through videos of this book here: www.bfbooks.com/Discovery. As soon as the book is back in stock we'll be able to fulfill all backorders.

Orders are shipped from our California warehouse. Please allow two to four weeks for delivery in the lower 48, allow for extra delivery time from May through September. Orders shipped to AK or HI are shipped via Media Mail and will be delivered in three to five weeks. For faster shipping, or international options, see below.
USPS Priority
Rush handling and fast shipping times. Orders generally arrive in one to three days depending on your location. Minimum $15.00 charge, 20% on orders over $50.00. Actual shipping cost applies plus a small handling fee and calculated after order has been placed. Please allow extra time for delivery during July through September.
FedEx Ground
Rush handling and fast shipping times. Orders generally arrive in one to five business days depending on your location. Minimum $15.00 charge, 20% of order totals over $50.00. Please allow extra time for delivery during July through September.
USPS International
Exact shipping charges plus $5.00 handling fee. Air shipping charges vary by country but can be approximated at 50% of order total. Delivery generally takes 7-10 business days. The amount charged at time of order will be an approximated total based upon the order subtotal. If shipping costs amount to more than the initial shipping charges, the difference will be charged to you at the time of shipment. Please allow extra time for delivery during July through September.
